Torchmate is proud to be an active member of the off-road community. We have partnered with Shaffers Offroad to build our Torchmate Rock Crawler and participate in many exciting off-road races, including W.E. Rock U.S. Nationals in Hannibal, Missouri and the Henderson Fabtech Desert Classic Best in the Desert Race final of the year.
We are a family owned business that grew from a small backyard shop to a CNC Cutting Systems Distribution Center. We are very proud of our achievements over the years. We love to hear stories about how we helped a small shop owner grow into a success in the industry. We have found that the off-road community is one that we have directly influenced as many off-road vehicles are built from scratch using our machines. It seemed only natural that we invest more of our time in this industry. Two generations of our family have had a deep passion for racing. Our founder, Bill Sr., has spent his life as an enthusiastic supporter of drag racing and hotrods. CEO, Bill Jr., found that rock crawling and desert racing appeals to his adventurous side. We are committed to our business and to the passions and relationships we have built through Torchmate.
We have received a warm reception from the off-road community, and look forward to growing with you to become more skilled and proficient contributors to the sport.

With a stack field of competitors in the A class, we knew we'd have our work cut out for us! The TREC race is a blast and gves us the best simulation of the Johnson valley terrain anywhere in the east! With several classes racing on the same course, the adrenaline is constantly going and you are always facing a different challenge on the course! This year, the course has new jumps, creeks, hill climbs, long high speed sections, and some very tight woods sections which are perfect for keeping the field balanced out! If you haven't tried it, you've got to bring a vehicle out!
After lap 1, we took the lead and never looked back! Racing for over two hours at speed and battling with over 30 vehicles, it is tough to balance composure with adrenaline! This event was no different with muddy water holes, it proved to be difficult to see all night.
At the finish line, the Torchmate team came out on top to put us back in contention for the series championship! We are off to the next TREC race in mid May, stay tuned....

JT Taylor Races NORRA Mexican 1000 in Ultra4 Car
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO APRIL 22, 2012 - JT Taylor will be taking the Torchmate / Tube Shark Ultra4 car south of the border to compete in the four day 2012 General Tire NORRA Mexican 1000 Race. This will be the first effort for an Ultra4 car to compete in this style of race. “This will be my third time participating in this race and taking my car makes it even more special this year,” said JT Taylor. “The roots of Baja racing are part of this race but this effort will be the OG of desert racing.”

Hot Competition in Cedar City Pro Mods Over the weekend, hundreds of spectators enjoyed the beautiful blue skies in Cedar City, Utah for the Western Round 2 competition.
The weather was beautiful and the competition hot in the Pro Mod class. Unlimited champion Jesse Haines made the move to Pro Mods in his #4499 car, competing against annual stalwart Aaron Sykes in his new SuperChips car and new competitor Jason Feuilly in his Jimmy's 4x4 rig. Shawn McNearney rounded out the ProMod competitors. The competition heated up through the fifth obstacle, after that, the show was over with Jason taking the lead and keeping it.
