The first thing I can say about the weekend is that it was HOT, I was so thankful that we were doing night races. Practice and qualifying on Friday went well and I qualified third for Saturday nights race. For a nice change this weekend we didn't have to be at the track till 3pm for the drivers meeting rather than the usual 7am meetings. Due to the fact I actually drove home to Huntington Beach every night and slept in my own bed which was much appreciated.

Once race-time came around I had my entire motorhome full of family and friends that came out to show support. Having friends and family at hometown races always brings positive vibes to the race track.

Saturday night I started in the second row on the outside and did my best to make quick work of the guys in front of me in the first two turns and that was a wrap, I led every lap of the race from that point taking First Place!

Sunday night did not go as smoothly. I started in the same position after a two row inversion that put me fourth for the start. The track on Sunday was extremely soft and got really rutted which made it difficult to pass so I battled with Austin Kimbrell for third place the entire race and finally earned third on the last lap.

All in all we had an awesome weekend and made up a lot of points and I plan on picking up some more wins as the season goes on!
