After finally having a good night on Saturday and no problems we headed to Madison Speedway for the first time this season. I started 2nd in the heat race and took the lead on the first lap and lead for 3 or 4 laps and ended up with a 2nd place finish. We tightened the car up with shocks, added weight and moved the pan hard bar for the feature as the track was slicking off fast. I started 6th in the feature and barley voided a guy spinning in front of me on the first lap. I was struggling with the slick track conditions and ended up with a 10th place finish.

We found the problem to our over-heating and lack of power (ignition timing was pretty far) and we headed to Dakota State Fair Speedway. I started 2nd in the heat race and took the lead on the first lap and started checking out on the field and ended up with a straightaway lead on the field. We were felling pretty good for the feature which I started 3rd in. We made some shock changes to car to try to keep up with the changing track conditions. Once we were on the track for the pace laps, the track officials decided to farm just outside of the bottom groove to the top of the track. After we got the track packed back in, it was pretty slimy from the middle to the top of the track, so I figured the bottom would be the place to be. I took the lead on the first lap and lead for 8 laps and was getting a pressure put on from 2nd place every once and awhile sneaking up on the inside. On the 8th lap coming out of turn 4, we were 3 wide for the lead. I ended up 2nd and moved to the top side of the track as the top side finally came too and I ended up with a 2nd place finish. I was very happy with our performance for the night!

We got the gears changed and headed back to the Dakota State Fair Speedway for night number 6 of the season. I started 6th in the feature and battled into 2nd on the first lap. On the second lap I took the lead and lead for 4 laps and ended up with a 2nd place finish. During the heat race it felt like the car didn't have any power, but it was running fine. The track was trying to rush the night along because of the weather and we didn't have much time to get ready for the feature. I started 2nd in the feature kept getting pushed down the straight-aways. I was running 4th and going into turn 3 I was trying to pass the guy on the outside of me and it looked like he was going to spin out so I pulled down a little to try to avoid him and I spun out myself. I restarted in the rear and pasted a couple of cars right away and ended up pulling into the pits on the next yellow because the car was running warm.

We headed to Casino Speedway for a USMTS (United States Modified Touring Series) race, that my class was one of the supporting class for the night. I started 2nd in the heat race and finished with a 2nd place finish. We made some shock changes and moved the pan hard bar for the feature to help tighten the car as the track was slicking off pretty fast. I started on the pole and coming out of turn 2 on the first lap, the 2nd place car spun into the right side of my car and pushed me down the track and I got my tire cut by another car.

We unloaded the at Dakota State Fair Speedway for the 5th time this season. I started 3rd in the heat race and fell back to 5 or 6th right on the start because the car in front of me didn't go on the start. I battled back up to a 3rd place finish. The car felt good during the heat race. We made some shock changes to the car for the feature. I started on the pole for the feature and fell back to 3rd after the first couple of laps. I drove a little too hard into turn 3 and slid up into the wall, but kept the car going. I was passing a car going down the front stretch and got pinched into the wall. I kept going and ended up with a 7th place finish. I ended up with 2 bent front rims and a bent inner tie rod.

We unloaded the car into the shop to change the water pump and change gears to head to Casino Speedway. Once again we loosened the car for the heat race, because we are normally to tight for the heat races. I started 4th in the heat race and moved into 2nd place on the first lap. The leader slowly was pulling away from me, and I settled for a 2nd place finish. I started on the pole and started falling backwards and ended up spinning out on the last lap and finishing 19th. We missed the setup on the car, but the car was in one piece at the end of the night.

We headed to the Dakota State Fair Speedway for our 4th night at the track. We loosened the before the heat race and it was a good move. I started 5th in the heat and after a couple of laps I moved into 3rd place and was catching the 2nd place guy, but ran out of laps with only 6 laps in the heat races. I was happy with our performance in the heat race and the car felt great. For the feature, we tightened the car up because the track was starting the slick off a little. I started 3rd in the feature and took the lead coming out of turn 2 on the first lap. I lead 8 laps of the feature and had to pull into the pits due to a leaking water pump and an overheating engine.
