Torchmate is proud to be an active member of the off-road community. We have partnered with Shaffers Offroad to build our Torchmate Rock Crawler and participate in many exciting off-road races, including W.E. Rock U.S. Nationals in Hannibal, Missouri and the Henderson Fabtech Desert Classic Best in the Desert Race final of the year. We are a family owned business that grew from a small backyard shop to a CNC Cutting Systems Distribution Center. We are very proud of our achievements over the years. We love to hear stories about how we helped a small shop owner grow into a success in the industry. We have found that the off-road community is one that we have directly influenced as many off-road vehicles are built from scratch using our machines. It seemed only natural that we invest more of our time in this industry. Two generations of our family have had a deep passion for racing. Our founder, Bill Sr., has spent his life as an enthusiastic supporter of drag racing and hotrods. CEO, Bill Jr., found that rock crawling and desert racing appeals to his adventurous side. We are committed to our business and to the passions and relationships we have built through Torchmate. We have received a warm reception from the off-road community, and look forward to growing with you to become more skilled and proficient contributors to the sport. |

Latest NewsRoger Lovell Takes on the Lands End Hill Climb
"We all need a second attempt at some things and I am no different. Unfortunately off-road racing is not a game of second chances. The Lands End Hill climb was the 3rd stop in the 2010 Ultra 4 Grand Slam Series; a series that consists of the top racers in the sport. The race is 5.5 miles long with a 2500 foot elevation gain along a twisting, turning gravel road. One miscalculation from the driver seat can send you plummeting off the side of the steep shelf road." _____________________________________________________ Roger Lovell runs over the competition in the XORRA finals in Cortez, CO
"Owning and operating a race team is the hardest job you’ll ever love (besides raising kids, that
is). It’s 9:15pm and Brad and I have just completed what we term a “turn around” at our house.
That is that the race trailer has been unloaded, cleaned and prepped for the next race. Roger is
at home doing the same thing with the team’s smaller 20’ trailer this week. _____________________________________________________ #44 Amsoil Pro-Light Continues Podium Qwest
"Brad Lovell continued his hunt for a podium finish in Rounds #5 & 6 of the TRAXXAS TORC Series presented by AMSOIL. The tight track at Oshkosh was a different challenge than the ultra fast rounds in Crandon and Bark River. The Lovell Racing team had high hopes that the tighter and more technical track would favor Brad’s driving style." _____________________________________________________ Another Race Another Lesson - Silver State 300 "I have a tremendous amount of respect for teams that can repeatedly finish races. I have run a couple of companies, and I have orchestrated what, at the time, seemed like huge projects. I can now conclude that was child’s play. As I looked across the mountain of iron we brought with us to the Silver State 300, I thought we were prepared. Torchmate Racing was able to win this race last year, and I was determined to repeat that this year. Jessie Haines and Mike Aiello joined our efforts with the 4499 car. We brought the 7231 truck, and after last second adjustments, radio checks, and breakfast we were ready. Logistics and preparation wins races, and I was in charge of logistics. We had a great crew and confidence was high. I was fortunate enough to get to drive our 7231 truck and with the help of my co-pilot Nick Sosha I was confident we had what it would take. Until…."
